Covent Garden Market in London, Ontario

Covent Garden Market was established at this site in 1845 as a way for local farmers and vendors to showcase and sell their products. The building that the market is housed in has evolved over the years on the other hand. The beautiful brick façade that we see today was opened in 1999 and is the fourth building that the market has been housed in over the years.

You get a sense of history not just by the fact that there has been a market on this site since 1845, but also by the fact that several generations of the same family have been selling their products here over the decades. This much-loved market of London, Ontario is the namesake of another popular market in London, England.
